Note that if your old setup simply has the outdoor vent pipe sticking out into the house, you will need to cut it to length. You will have to measure fairly close as usually the outdoor vent plate (the louvered thing) relies on several tabs that snap into square holes on the pipe. The inside end just fits over the flange on the dryer doc. A pair of tin snips will do the job nicely. Also, if the inside hole is sloppy large, you will have to put in a new piece of drywall or plywood to attach the dock to the wall. Mine had a huge hole so I just used a piece of plywood, measured to reach the wall studs. Cut a hole in the plywood and mount the dock to it. So, depending on your situation, you may have a little work to do. If your drywall is in good shape you could use some mollies. I paired this with the “Snap to Vent 90” on the dryer end. The Snap to Vent worked well for that application but I did not want to use it (straight end version) for the wall end because I felt the Dryer Dock was a neater and more solid option on the wall end of things. Also, you will need to clamp the hose to the dock plastic. I used a regular clamp but I also drilled a hole through the clamp into the plastic of the dock collar and put in a zip screw to keep it nice and secure. Use a nut driver to secure the zip screw. I am really happy to have this setup nice and secure and easy to maintain.

Took minutes to install and seals great. I Have a stack washer dryer slid into a small closet, I have no idea why I didn’t think to get one of these years ago. it allows you to slide the unit almost all way back and then hook up over top. I put this in the ceiling. Took minutes to install and seals great. It allows you to reduce the amount of slack pipe you have which just gets crimped and develops lint. Awesome product

After all these years,,, this is THE better way. once properly installed , NO more hose or spring clamps or dusty lint covered laundry area, you will definitely want to clean the dry duct more often.

Makes cleaning the dryer duct much easier. My old dryer vent passes through a wall and then turns and goes to an outside wall. Whoever originally did this just cut the drywall and shoved the dryer ductwork through the hole and attached it to vent going outside. I purchased 2 of these and installed 1 on each side of the wall making a much cleaner looking dryer duct and also making it much easier to disconnect for cleaning.

Easy to install, works like it should. Good product for the money, it makes for easy access to clean out dryer exhaust tubing of dangerous lint build up! looks better than my old set up by far.

Finally – A working solution for a vent. I’ve always wondered why you spend $500 for a dryer, and you get a cheap vent out the back you must connect a flex duct to with a band clamp. What an awful idea, and it’s never perfect and hard to reach. This at least solves the vent to the wall connection. Locking slots and 100% of the dust and air go outside. Now, if the manufacturers would put a similar connector on the stabout from the dryer.
