LISLE, IL - A mother and her infant escaped without injury before a fire left their home uninhabitable. Just before 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, a 911 caller reported a smoking dryer in a two-story home, according to a release from the Lisle-Woodridge Fire District. Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke and the alarm was upgraded, the release said. After confirming that the residents, a mother and her 1-week-old baby, were safely out of the home, they began battling the blaze. |
